About Me.

Hi, I'm Abdul, the founder of off the street FC and Plaistow Parkside Lions FC. Football is more than just a game - it's a way to inspire, uplift, and change lives. I started this initiative because I saw too many young people in our community struggling with limited opportunities, facing challenges, and needing a safe space to grow. I wanted to provide them with a place where they can develop their skills, build friendships, and stay off the streets.

Through football, we teach teamwork, discipline, and leadership -all for free, because I believe that every young person deserves access to sport, regardless of their circumstances. While I've funded this project myself, we welcome sponsorships and support to expand our reach and make an even greater impact.

Who I am & why I started this Initiative 

As someone deeply rooted in the Newham community, I've seen first hand the challenges young people face - limited opportunities, growing social pressures, and the risk of negative influences. I knew that football could be a pathway to mentorship, discipline, and belonging.

That's why I created off the streets FC - to provide a free, safe and supportive space where young people can develop their skills, stay engaged, and focus on positive growth. Funded entirely through my own personal effort, this project exists because I believe every young person deserves a chance to thrive, no matter their background or circumstances.
